I began taking Spanish my freshman year with Mr. Selzer and anyone who has ever been in his class knows – at first he is a little intimidating. Carrying a toilet seat to the bathroom for a hall pass may seem a little ridiculous, but in retrospect I realize that it kept many of us from leaving class to waste time in the bathroom. Mr. Selzer took learning seriously and figured our best chance for learning would be in class rather than out.

Class of 1965 – Nancy (Burnett) Lindner (Pride of Fremont Submission)
There was no one educator that I would cite as THE person who made a difference in my life. They all made a difference. Some nurtured, some intimadated — all cared.
Class of 1996 – Christine Cooper (Pride of Fremont Submission)
Though I am not a NASA rocket scientist like the valedictorian of my class, Jennifer Deuling, an engineer for the Big three or a doctor like other people I went to high school with, I am proud of where I am today and it is all because of what Fremont Public Schools and its staff did for me. Every staff I came in contact with always had the best interest of students at the forefront of their mind and heart.
Class of 1979 – Fran Brandt Schamber (Pride of Fremont Submission)
Fremont did a wonderful job of preparing students for life beyond high school, and I wish the community could understand the need to support the vision for the future.

Class of 1979 – Pamela Zuwerink (Pride of Fremont Submission)
It’s such an honor and a pleasure to be a Fremont Alumni (1979 grad) who can attribute her accomplishments directly to one, specific educator who had such a profound affect on my life. Pride of Fremont Submission
My belief is that as we approach the vote for a new high school, we need to keep in mind that FHS has produced many talented, hard-working individuals who are making a difference in the world. An example is the class of ’93 which produced three practicing physicians including…
